Pizaro Gozali Idrus was the editor of the Turkish news agency Anadolu Agency
from 2017 to 2022. Currently, he works as an international media journalist in Indonesia, focusing on public policy topics. Pizaro is also the chairman of the Indonesian section of The Palestine International Forum for Media and Communication, an Istanbul-based worldwide media practitioner group dedicated to Palestinian liberation. As a journalist, he covered the Syrian war, the violence in Southern Thailand, the peace talks between the Taliban and the Afghan government, and so on. He is now pursuing his Ph.D. at Universiti Sains Malaysia’s Center for Policy Research and International Studies. Pizaro is also teaching media and international relations at University of Al-Azhar Indonesia. In 2021, he collaborated with the Indonesian Doctors Association on the book Covid-19 and National Resilience. In addition, he wrote a chapter for the book Indonesia in the Vortex of Global Disruption on 2022. He writes about international topics in Republika, Jakarta Post, and BenarNews, and he appears on Al Qatar-based Araby TV in Qatar, Cairo TV, Jakarta-based TV One, Good Radio Jakarta, and other media outlets. He also spoke about international affairs and media at the University of Management and Technology in Pakistan, IIUM Malaysia, the University of Indonesia, Hassanuddin University, Makassar, the ASEAN University Student Council Union, State Islamic University Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau, the University of West Sulawesi, and Jakarta State University, and others.
